Well-wrapped breads with low levels of moisture are best for successful bread freezing. Cookies and unfrosted cakes also freeze well.
Steps:
- Be sure baked goods are cooled completely before freezing.
- Wrap breads tightly in plastic wrap, then in a layer of aluminum foil.
- Date all packages.
- Freeze breads for up to five months.
- Keep the freezer temperature at 0 degrees F.
- Thaw frozen bread at room temperature for 3 hours or in the refrigerator overnight.
